Principles of Computational Thinking in PreK-20 Education 

​

We built the following elearning module to aid preservice teachers and college instructors in learning about equity and the principles of computational thinking. The module presents original lessons and prompts participants to take on-going assessments throughout the module. The topics covered include: abstraction, algorithms & procedures, automation, data collection & analysis, data representation, parallelization, simulation, problem solving, patterns, computer systems, networks & the internet, lesson planning for Preschool, Elementary & Secondary students, and equity.

Created as part of a grant funded by the Sherman Center for Early Learning in Urban Communities at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
